  • Wider audience- working class audience online and middle class audience for the magazine.
  • "Mother faces backlash after claiming being gay is a choice"- she is represented as the antagonist as she demonises gay people- this site is ideologically biased as its LGBT centred.
  • Attitude is very opinionated. it has a simple ideology- there is one way to be gay. 
  • "the weeks hottest clothes and accessories" article- trousers for £850 implies that the target audience are well off. theres a mixture of high street and high end fashion. clothes are bold and bright, making the assumption that guy men are flamboyant and obsessed with their image. the producers are reinforcing gay stereotypes in order to build an audience. audiences can build their identities with this article as theres a high chance they might be able to relate and identify with it.
  • posts of celebrity gay icons such as Kylie monogue and lady gaga- target audience like these artists as they represent the boldness that they have within themselves as well as the fact that they seem comfortable in their skin- aspirational to gay people. however, these articles reinforce stereotypes that all gay people like these flamboyant artists even if some don't.
  • audiences are being built- homosexual men who love theatre, bright clothing, lady gaga etc- they very stereotypical of gay men and use these stereotypes to target their audience.

How does this product use technology to maximise audience consumption?

  • their facebook page- used for multimodality- more can be written, links to articles, photos etc.
  • facebook provides the chance for fans to communicate with one another and start a community within the attitude page.
  • less likes on facebook as it is for older generations so they are not as open to homosexuality.
  • most things on their twitter page is blocked- the whole account contains sensitive media and posts including nudity are deleted- twitter and facebook pages are regulated by algorithms or are outsourced to those in third world countries who are made to sit and look through posts that need to be regulated.
  • more followers on twitter- wider community as it is used by young adults/ millennials- late teens to mid twenties.
  •  instagram page- many images of models- men and women.
  • target audience on instagram are young teenagers and adults (aged 16-24).
