Women's bodies are there to be looked at (stereotypically), whereas the male body differs from those used to objectify the female body. 



How are women constructed on the mail online?

  • She's described as "Justin Beiber's ex," making it seem like she wouldn't be important if it wasn't for dating Beiber. 
  • There are close up pictures of her boobs and butt, which may appeal to a heterosexual male audience or homosexual female audience. 
  • The way they describe her body is sexual and even pervy, something that can be used in a porn magazine. 
  • This confirms a hegemonic standard of women's beauty.
  • This cultivates the ideology that women should look a specific way.

Presents a parody of sexism in music videos (close up "how to photograph girls," connotes that women are purely presented to be looked at by a heterosexual male audience).
